Our Story

Built on Steel, Forged by Trust

Indo East Corporation Private Limited was founded in 1975 with a singular mission: to deliver precision-engineered steel structures that infrastructure builders could depend on. What began as a focused fabrication unit in the industrial heartland of Howrah, West Bengal, has grown into one of Eastern India's most respected manufacturers of fabricated and hot-dip galvanized steel structures.

Over five decades, we have supplied thousands of telecom towers, substation structures, transmission line towers, railway overhead electrification structures, and heavy industrial fabrications to India's most demanding clients — including Reliance Jio, L&T, Voltas, Siemens, ABB, Ericsson, Alstom T&D, and numerous State Electricity Boards.

Today, our fully integrated Jangalpur facility — just 22 km from Kolkata Port — houses state-of-the-art fabrication equipment, a 7-metre in-house hot-dip galvanizing kettle, robotic welding stations, and CNC plasma cutting systems. We are Triple ISO certified and IEC registered, ready to serve global markets with the same commitment that has defined us for over 50 years.

In 1975, Mr. Rajkumar Kejriwal — a graduate of Umesh Chandra College — established Indo East Corporation in Howrah with a simple conviction: that quality fabrication, delivered honestly, builds lasting relationships. Despite lacking prior experience in the steel industry, his unwavering dedication propelled the company towards unprecedented success. Starting with the trading of Pig Iron, he laid the foundation of what would become one of Eastern India's most respected steel manufacturing companies. His vision — "Built Once. Trusted for 100 Years." — continues to guide everything the company does.

Joining the company in 1987, Mr. Jitendra Kejriwal brought with him a wealth of knowledge and strategic acumen. His tenure at the well-regarded St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, equipped him with a strong foundation upon which he built his career. As the younger brother of Mr. Rajkumar Kejriwal, he seamlessly integrated into the company's ethos, contributing significantly to its growth trajectory. With a keen understanding of market dynamics and a commitment to excellence, Mr. Jitendra Kejriwal assumed the role of Managing Director, steering the company towards new horizons.

Mr. Anand Kejriwal, son of the late Mr. Rajkumar Kejriwal, epitomizes the essence of innovation and resilience. His educational journey, spanning from Good Shepherd International School, Ooty, to Birla High School, Kolkata, and culminating at Manipal Academy for Higher Education, reflects his unwavering pursuit of knowledge and excellence. In 2005, Mr. Anand Kejriwal joined the family business, infusing it with fresh perspectives and forward-thinking strategies. Moreover, he has been actively involved with Young Indians (Yi), the youth wing of CII. In 2020, he served as the Chair of the Kolkata Chapter, spearheading projects aimed at nation-building, thought leadership, and youth empowerment.

As a scion of the esteemed Kejriwal family, Mr. Gautam Kejriwal embodies the harmonious blend of academic prowess and pragmatic insights. His educational journey at The Heritage School, Kolkata, and Good Shepherd International School, Ooty, laid the foundation for a distinguished career. Armed with a Bachelor's degree from The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Kolkata, and a Master's in International Business Management from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, Mr. Gautam Kejriwal brings a global perspective to our company. Since his induction in 2018, he has played a pivotal role in steering strategic decisions and fostering collaborations, leveraging his expertise in international business management and marketing. He has also actively engaged with BNI India, a renowned business network platform that facilitates business growth through referrals.

In January 2023, Mr. Anand Kejriwal and Mr. Gautam Kejriwal enrolled in the Business Mastery Program under the guidance of esteemed business coach Mr. Rahul Jain — an intensive 9-month executive course designed to create business systems, automate processes, and build scalable organizations. Their participation underscores their commitment to continuous learning and equipping Indo East Corporation for its next phase of growth.

Indo East Corporation is established in Howrah, West Bengal by Mr. Rajkumar Kejriwal, beginning with the trading of Pig Iron. A modest start with a founder's vision: to build an honest, quality-driven industrial enterprise.

Hamilton Poles for DoT

Indo East begins manufacturing Hamilton Poles for the Department of Telecommunication — the first step into India's growing telecom infrastructure sector, establishing the company as a reliable government supplier.

Second Generation Joins

Mr. Jitendra Kejriwal joins the family business, bringing fresh energy and operational focus that would drive Indo East's expansion across telecom, power, and railway sectors over the next three decades.

As India's mobile telephony revolution begins, Indo East pivots to manufacturing full Telecom Towers — Ground Based Towers (GBT), Roof Top Towers (RTT), and self-supporting masts — becoming an early, trusted supplier to India's expanding networks.

OFC & Trenchless Technology

Entered the business of laying Optical Fibre Cable using Trenchless Technology through Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) machines — diversifying capabilities into underground infrastructure as India's data revolution began.

Secured approval and began manufacturing Steel Channel Sleepers for Indian Railways — one of the world's largest railway networks. This remains a prestigious segment of the product portfolio.

Mr. Anand Kejriwal Joins; Civil & Erection Works

Mr. Anand Kejriwal joins the family business, expanding leadership capacity. The company also begins offering Civil, Erection & Painting works for towers on a turnkey basis.

Entered the Power Sector, supplying structures for Rural Electrification & Sub Stations. In the same landmark year, the company transformed from a Proprietorship to a Private Limited company — Indo East Corporation Pvt. Ltd.

Solar Module Mounting Structures

As India's solar energy sector took off, Indo East began supplying Solar Module Mounting Structures (MMS) — capitalising on fabrication expertise to enter the renewable energy infrastructure segment.

Flyover Girder Manufacturing

Secured contracts for manufacturing heavy flyover girders — including supply to the Garden Reach Flyover project in Kolkata. This demonstrated the company's capability for large-span structural fabrication under strict engineering specifications.

7-Metre Galvanizing Kettle Installed & Gautam Joins

Installation of the in-house Hot Dip Galvanizing facility with a 7-metre kettle — one of the largest in Eastern India. This gave the company full vertical integration. Mr. Gautam Kejriwal also joined, bringing the third generation into leadership.

Introduced the first Robotic Welding Machine — a milestone investment in precision manufacturing that dramatically improved weld quality consistency, speed, and compliance with international structural welding standards.

Celebrating 50 years of excellence. Annual capacity exceeds 18,000 MT. 39+ vendor approvals across India. IEC registered. Now actively exporting to Africa and the Gulf, with a clear ambition to become a globally recognised steel structures brand from India.

In-House Testing Laboratory Established

A landmark investment in quality assurance — Indo East commissioned its own in-house testing laboratory equipped with a Spectro Machine (for Chemical Analysis), a UTM (Universal Testing Machine) for Mechanical Tests, and dedicated Galvanizing Test equipment. This enables complete in-house Mechanical, Chemical, and Galvanizing certification, reducing turnaround time and reinforcing our commitment to quality at every stage.
